About The Programme
The EmpowerHER Initiative is a supportive, confidence-building mentorship programme designed for young women across Northern Ireland from a range of cultural backgrounds. It brings young women together with experienced female professionals who understand the local context and are keen to share their knowledge, encouragement, and lived experience.
The programme offers a mix of practical workshops, one to one mentoring, and relaxed networking opportunities, giving participants the space to talk openly about their goals, challenges, and aspirations. EmpowerHER focuses on building confidence, developing real-world employability skills, and helping young women see the pathways available to them, whether that’s further education, training, employment, or self-employment.
Throughout the programme, participants will hear directly from women who have walked similar paths and know what it’s like to find your feet, overcome barriers, and push yourself forward. The programme will conclude with a Career Day that celebrates progress, brings everyone together, and helps open doors to future opportunities through local employers, organisations, and role models.
At its heart, EmpowerHER is about connection, encouragement, and giving young women the tools and belief to take the next step with confidence.
